Today, I visited the office of Nevada Hispanic Services in Reno. While there, I had the opportunity to meet with the Executive Director, board members, community leaders, students, staff and members of the media regarding education, economic development, fighting gang violence and many other issues important to the community and our state. This morning, Rasmussen Reports published a new poll on our race. In a general election matchup with Democrat Rory Reid, we're up by 18 points, while Jim Gibbons trails Reid by 8. We still have a lot of work to do, but this poll is great news. Read more...

Nevada Reading Week

This afternoon, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read to students at D.L. "Dusty" Dickens Elementary School in North Las Vegas as part of Nevada Reading Week. I enjoyed reading "Duck for President" and "Oh, the Places You'll Go" to the students -- especially on Dr. Seuss' birthday, which the students were celebrating with Dr. Seuss hats. Read more...

Yesterday, the Las Vegas Review-Journal released a new poll on our race. In the primary race, we are ahead of Governor Gibbons by seven points. In a general election against Democrat Rory Reid, we're ahead 51 to 29.  Read more...
