Brian Sandoval for Governor

Brian, I'm republican but when I heard your position on vouchers for education I'm not sure you fully understand education. Vouchers have been around a long time and you are placing your support based on one set of achievement scores out of a few schools back east. I heard Teri Janison say that existing private schools pick and choose who they enroll and she is absolutely correct. They don't accept special education students, they don't accept discipline problem students, and they don't accept students that belong to parents who have a history of being difficult to work with. Are those the same rules you will give all schools including public schools with the voucher system you are proposing????? I doubt you will. I doubt you have researched all of the ramifications of the voucher system. I will not vote for you if this is your style and I will do all I can to inform people of your lack of proofing your ideas. Oh, by the way I have been in education as a teacher, principal, and district superintendent for over 30 years. So, I do understand what your proposal means........

I had a call today from someone who said they were doing a poll, but I think it was a front for a Reid message. They asked me two questions which were: 1. Would do you support? My answer Brian S. 2. If you knew Sandoval was going to lay off 5,000 teachers would you be more or less likely to vote for him? My answer, I don't believe this. The lady who called quickly ended the so called poll. Just a heads up for your campaign.

I have a few ideas on the economy and education changes, I'd like to run past you and see what you thought. I dont know where I can send them, if youre actually willing to hear it

Rory Reid, what's he talking about? I've lived in Nevada for more than 20yrs. and being last in education or very low is nothing new. Is he new to our great state? Aren't we getting rid of one of those already? Hang in there Brian!!
