Today, I visited the office of Nevada Hispanic Services in Reno. While there, I had the opportunity to meet with the Executive Director, board members, community leaders, students, staff and members of the media regarding education, economic development, fighting gang violence and many other issues important to the community and our state. This morning, Rasmussen Reports published a new poll on our race. In a general election matchup with Democrat Rory Reid, we're up by 18 points, while Jim Gibbons trails Reid by 8. We still have a lot of work to do, but this poll is great news. Read more...

This afternoon, I was thrilled to have the opportunity to read to students at D.L. "Dusty" Dickens Elementary School in North Las Vegas as part of Nevada Reading Week. Last night, I attended a Meet and Greet barbeque in Las Vegas with over 200 supporters. It was a great turnout -- I had the opportunity to speak with many supporters and answer questions about immigration and education.
